I. High Standards

Dr. Damodaran, Dr. Fish and the Birch Lake Dental staff strive for excellence in personalized dental care. We provide comprehensive dental treatment planning. By considering both restorative and cosmetic dentistry, we guide you to your optimum dental health.

II. Prevention Education

We strongly believe that preventive care and education forms bright smiles. We focus thoroughly on exams by checking the overall health of your teeth, preforming oral cancer exams, and inspecting your gums. Routine dental cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are helpful prevention methods that we perform. Additionally, a review of your medical history will help us, and you, stay well-informed about your overall dental health.

III. Uncompromised Safety

Protecting our patients and ourselves is extremely important to our environment. We strictly maintain sterilization, cross contamination, and infection control with standards administered by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

IV. Expertise and Extensive Training

We pride ourselves in providing care to you with our team of highly trained and skilled dental clinicians. We are committed to continual education to ensure that our techniques are up-to-date, safe, and efficient. As a staff, we attend dental lectures, meetings, and conventions. Additionally, Dr. Damodaran and Dr. Fish are members of various professional dental associations, so the clinic is aware of changes and recommendations.

Dr. Geetha Damodaran

I was born in India and my family immigrated to the United States before I turned one. I grew up in New Jersey (yes, I was a Jersey girl) and later lived in Arizona for 2 years. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. In 1995 I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) at the University of Minnesota School Of Dentistry where I was awarded for excellence in pediatric dentistry.

After working in the Twin Cities area for 5 years, I purchased this dental practice. In the past, I have enjoyed teaching at the University of Minnesota School Of Dentistry. I participate in various study groups (Seattle Study Group, True North Study Club, Spears Study Club, and Twin Cities Implant Group). I continue to take extensive education classes in order to improve my dentistry and offer the newest technology to my patients. In my free time, I volunteer my services at the Union Gospel Mission and participate in other charitable dental events. I am also President-elect in the St. Paul District Dental Society affiliated with the MN Dental Association.

I am passionate about dentistry and I love what I do. I know we are nobody’s favorite place, but I strive to put you and your family at ease. I hope our friendly, warm, and relaxing atmosphere is comforting to our patients. Additionally, my team and I enjoy getting to know each of you. I once was a scared dental phobic-overcoming my fear made me want to become a dentist and help others that are terrified.

Dr. Diane Fish

I've had the pleasure of being part of Birch Lake Dental since 2004.
Building personal relationships, helping patients navigate the sometimes
confusing world of insurance/financing has been a passion that has always
lined up with my overall enjoyment of people.

I'm here to calm fears, answer questions and help make treatment possible.
Other than loving the environment of our spa like office, our patients are
top-notch.
